Hello friends and family! ~36 hours ago the “Exploring Historical, Political, and Geographic Landmarks in London, England A-Term” embarked on a voyage to immerse, and educate, ourselves in a community other than our own. Through this experience, we have a multitude of events planned, but in order to achieve these, we must first arrive in the amazing city of London!
Our plane ride to London was 8 hours long, and because we were traveling in the opposite direction of time (east), we lost a significant amount of time, and sleep. This contributed to an immense amount of jet-lag that we felt through our morning after arriving at the London Heathrow airport. In the end, we were able to regroup, pick up all our luggage, and arrive at our hotel. Although a lot of us lost track of time, and we are all currently very tired, we are all looking forward to our trip!
That being said, I and our group, are thoroughly missing our friend Asa, who was unable to make on the trip due to a last minute change. We will be thinking of you throughout the trip dude! Get well soon!
As today was a little bit different than most days, a written portion and pictures are included in one blog. For future blog posts, expect one written blog and one photo blog every day. These blogs should be published at the end of the day our time, which is 7:00-8:00 in London, or 2:00-3:00 in Houston time. Our first regularly scheduled blog posts should be coming out later today.
Hey Mom and Dad! Love you and miss you! :D :D
Here are some pictures, from the travel day, hope you enjoy:

Hey Nathan, good to know that all arrived safely in London. Was that you snoozing/snoring in the subway? Get some well deserved sleep and rest. Also, rumor has it that Mr. Grisbee is a great chef. Learn as much as you can about the delicate art of cooking; you are going to need it in a few months. We dropped off our guests at the airport this morning. We miss you dude. Have an awesome time in London and watch out for the cars/busses/lorries while crossing the streets......they drive on the wrong side of the street !!!!
